  • Comparability: (compare a b <= 0 || compare b a >= 0) = true,
  • Transitivity: if (compare a b <= 0) = true and (compare b c <= 0) = true, then (compare a c <= 0) = true,
  • Reflexivity: (compare a a = 0) = true,
